TrapCall Is Now Available In Canada, Also Available In The Canadian App Store & Android Market

Update: (5-7-2012) We’re sad to announce that we’re pulling out of Canada, as the Canadian Radio Television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and the telcos have made it clear we aren’t welcome there.

Today we’re excited to announce our largest expansion to date! TrapCall is now available on all four major wireless carriers in Canada — Rogers, Bell and Fido. Our mobile app is now also available in the Canadian iPhone App Store and Android Market.

It’s been a long road since we launched TrapCall almost 3 years ago now. We’re thrilled to finally be doing our first expansion outside of the US, as we realize that some of you find TrapCall to be an invaluable tool. Even a life saver at times. TrapCall is a product for the people, no matter how much the phone companies or the regulators dislike it. And we want to bring TrapCall to as many of you around the world as possible, which is what we’ll be focusing on doing in 2012.

So, Canada, we hope you don’t mind being the first country we empower, as we try to make TrapCall into a global service!

Hi Boudy, which carrier do you have? Do you have a Canadian phone number or a US phone number? If you’ve selected a Canadian carrier then it should allow you to enter a Canadian postal code, as we just double checked and confirmed this.

I have tried to download TrapCall from the app store, but theirs an error as it hasn’t come out yet because I live in the UK? When will TrapCall be out in the UK?

Looks like Trapcall for ios is not available in the iPhone App Store for the U.S. Any word on its status and eventual return?

    Hey Trapcall

I’m dissapointed to hear that you have decided to pull out of Canada. I completly understand why you have decided to do so.
Canadians battle both the CRTC and the major Telco’s on a daily basis. Its nice to see that Rogers shares are down because of increased competition.
The only telco that offers any kind of blacklist service is Rogers. I cant see why Telus, Bell, and Fido would oppose Trap call when they refuse to offer such a service.
I was please with the service, please let me know when you come back here, and have a local Calgary exchange as its long distance to forward to Edmonton.

    Thanks Trapcall.
